Spill Media are gearing up for their Launch event on Wednesday 9th June 2010 @
The Welfare Ystradgynlais at 7.00pm (doors open at 6.30pm).Hosted by Bay Radio’s Jay Curtis the event will see Spill Media Launch and celebrate their rebrand and the successful securing of the Coalfields Regeneration Grant.
Spill Media has come a long way since its beginnings in 2007, where we secured funding from the Wales Cooperative’s scheme; Communities@one to run a digital inclusion pilot project. We have gained a reputable client base and are established as a company that offers high quality services in a professional manner.
Spill Media offers work placements, volunteer experiences and employment opportunities in the area. Spill Media is based in an ex-coalfield, Communities First Area with high unemployment and a high rate of outward migration of Young People. By offering experiences through digital media we are tackling issues of training and employment and encouraging enterprise.
By securing the Coalfields Social Enterprise Grant we can continue with business development and ensure that we are well on our way to achieving self sustainability and continuing to offer opportunities to those in rural areas.
The event will be attended by around 70 people from the third sector, public sector and business world as well as the entertainment industry.
